Victorias Friends website gets a Makeover

NeatWorks Inc announced today the launch of the newly redesigned www.victoriasfriends.com site. Victoria’s Friends, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women discover and live their dreams, contracted the services of NeatWorks Inc in 2005 to design their first website.

Challenges:

Organization grew significantly expanding their offering and reach into other avenues that help women deal with a number of other personal issues. Client needed to rebrand its organizations image to reflect its increased scope of offerings and position itself as a resource to all women without diluting its message and outreach to its initial clients.
Client also needed to streamline its volunteer and donor management system. With growth, this had become a challenge and it was necessary to consolidate their database.

Solutions:

After a thorough discovery process, NeatWorks Inc mapped out an effective strategy to serve the clients needs.

  • A new look and feel was created for Victoria’s Friends, incorporating some elements of the old brand into the final site design.
  • The site was designed with visual elements that communicate to teenage girls and older women.
  • The site navigation had to be simple and give clear click path to whatever age group the site belonged to. It was also important that site visitors have access to most part of the site with 1 click.
  • New features like an online calendar, Prayer Center, and Blog were added to meet the needs of site users.
  • A new database management system was also put in place to streamline donor and volunteer management.
